ACTORSITE sponsors one of the MOST POWERFUL TOOLS that an actor can use in HOLLYWOOD.
The CASTING DIRECTOR WORKSHOPS are INCREDIBLE EDUCATIONAL EVENTS with WORKING CASTING DIRECTORS!
Actorsite sponsors industry professional workshops on a regular basis. We schedule from 12 to 40 workshops per month with
Casting Directors, Associate Casting Directors, Feature film and Television Directors and Network and Studio Executives to
further educate and empower our members.
To attend our casting director workshops, each actor must AUDITION, so that the level of work in the workshops is at a
consistently high level. This means you have to PRACTICE YOUR COLD READING ON A DAILY BASIS SO THAT YOU CAN TAKE ADVANTAGE
OF THESE INCREDIBLE EDUCATIONAL EVENTS!
One of the best ways to prepare to AUDITION is to join the Actorsite and attend our workouts for a few months so that you are
SHARP and READY TO BOOK!
Many actors JOIN the Actorsite and work on SKILLS in our daily workouts for a few weeks or a few months prior to attending
Casting Director Workshops!
A great way to build skills BEFORE you showcase them to industry professionals.
When you are SHARP, you can come audition for us on MONDAYS at 4 pm at 4444 Lankershim, #203, in North Hollywood...GREAT!
Be sure to park on the STREET when visiting our Lankershim location, because we don't have parking privileges included in our
lease! Help us be good neighbors by parking on the street! Plus you may save towing charges.
Workshops are EDUCATIONAL, MOTIVATIONAL, and, best of all, allow each actor to develop valuable relationships with industry
professionals.
Educational Workshops are for the dedicated actor who wishes to succeed in Television, Film and other areas of a Hollywood
Career.
Each CASTING DIRECTOR GUEST TEACHER covers different areas of the business from their unique perspective, which gives you, the
pro-active actor, a broad base of knowledge upon which to build your career. Here are some of the subjects which will be covered
in class depending on the expertise of our guests:
Audition Techniques
The Business of Acting
Casting Office Etiquette
Demystifying the Audition Process
How casting procedures differ between Features, Episodic Television, Pilots and the like.
Performance Adjustments and Feedback
General Industry Trends
Review of Headshots and Resumes
Additional personal expertise from that guest’s unique perspective.

ACTORSITE EDUCATIONAL CASTING DIRECTOR WORKSHOPS!
========================================================
We are proud of the fact that Actorsite workshops have ALWAYS been
educational events. Casting Directors offer a fine honing of acting
and auditioning skills that only they have the insight to provide.
Because of this we helped write State Guidelines, along with input
from SAG, AFTRA, the Casting Society of America, the Los Angeles City
Attorney's office and dozens of actors at all levels.
The Labor Commissioner took input from all of these sources and wrote
a state-approved curriculum for Casting Director workshops. We have
always embraced a similar curriculum and we have always worked hard to make
sure that the actors who attend our workshops get the most benefit out
of these educational workshops. Because of our diligence, our workshop
participants are some of the busiest in Hollywood, having gained the
education to attain a distinctive edge in this competitive arena.
We applaud the successes of our participants. When attending an
Actorsite workshop: This is not a job interview or audition. The
presence of a casting director is neither a guarantee nor a promise
of employment. The vast majority of Workshop participants do not
receive jobs as a result of meeting Casting Directors at these
workshops. The intent of the class is solely educational.
Another PERK of membership in the Actorsite.
