VOICE OVER

“Animation / Commercial / Demo Scratch Clip”

YOUTH & ADULT

Students will learn a solid foundation using proven voice over fundamentals including: breathing, reading and marking copy, diction training, tips on adjusting pitch, tone, pacing, inflection and resonance to create a wide variety of vocal sounds. We will encourage their imaginations and confidence while teaching tools that will help them to make strong choices to make their reads believably come to life guiding students step by step from voice over basics to bookings to the booth!

VO COMMERCIAL: Covering how to break down and prepare copy, techniques & audition tips for radio, internet, and television commercials.

VO ANIMATION: Covering creating character voices for television and film characters…all while discovering their individual personal “signature”.

VO DEMO/SCRATCH CLIP: Students choose either the commercial or animation script and will be given redirects and fine-tuning prior to them recording in their own recording setup. The final week will be run as a live rehearsal/taping session (actors can record during this final class or after on their own). After the last class students have one week to send their MP3 recording to Coach Valerie for editing (editing includes equalization, compression, level/volume mastering to optimize your audio - students will receive one high quality MP3 demo scratch clip).
